Introduction

The growth of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) field has traversed across disciplines and technological aspects encompassing elements that are both tangible and intangible. It’s hard to exclude HCI from domains of Informatics, Internet of Everywhere, Quality of Life and others, more so with diverse range of users and possibilities. Incorporating HCI and various application domains has resulted into a variety of user requirements, needs and experience, converting to ever-changing conditions. In retrospect, we explore challenges in designing diversity across different HCI domains. In line with these transformations, sustainable development goals (SDGs) have been chosen as the theme for this book.

Objective

The objective of the book is to provide HCI researchers, academicians, and practitioners with the knowledge of HCI development and practice as well as issues and challenges related to them. The book would focus on concepts, frameworks and case studies leading to better understanding of the underlying issues and cutting edge research in HCI. This will enhance awareness and decision making of scholars and practitioners to choose or suggest human-centred technological solutions for achieving sustainable development goals.

Target Audience

Target audiences are academicians, researchers, graduate students, PhD scholars, and professionals who work in the area of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Usability and User Experience. This book will form an excellent reference material for the current development and practice of HCI.
