Now a days, with the explosive growth of the internet data that stored in Web page format in many web servers and data centers. The incredible increasing of these web pages that created in very rapid manner introduced other challenges to many organizations, and companies to extract their information for their interest from massive corpus of web pages. Day by day, extracting knowledge from corpus of Web pages become very complex process, and millions or billions of web pages stored without any archiving or indexing techniques. However, parsing large corpus of web pages and find relevant information, or discovering the correlation among these pages, eliminate irregular content, and retrieval the accurate results become very practical challenge to all researchers and developers. However, they have to find always better solutions to keep the accuracy as much as better despite of the corpus size. Another challenge also introduced by moving most of the works from offline manner to online due to covid-19 pandemic. Hence, we shall use data mining techniques and algorithms in Web environment by adopting the aspects and criteria to be suite for web environment. Web mining techniques and based on data source of the Web, divided into three categories, Web content mining, Web structure mining and Web usage mining. This book aims to illustrate all the concepts of web mining from gathering of web data sources till discovering and representing the extracted knowledge. This book could be considered later as main source for many researchers and scholars who may search about reference book that involve all the techniques and algorithms that applied on Web environment. In which I browsed the internet and many sources, there is no single book focus on this important topic and only published papers that considered either literature survey about Web techniques and application or focus on single category from web mining, in which journal article has very limit pages and cannot illustrate all the techniques and algorithms. Also, there is no book available that illustrate all the techniques , application and algorithms that used in Web mining categories, in which even such chapters available that embedded in some books but its introduced only certain techniques or applications, in either one of the field that the web mining involved. However, we aim to make this book main source to all undergraduate, postgraduate, and scholars who would like to got full sources and knowledge about Web mining. Also this book will consider to keep tracks and the motivation about transforming the techniques and algorithms from data mining to web mining, and provide comparisons among the techniques, and algorithms that used in both aspects.


The main objective of this book is to foster transformative, multidisciplinary and novel approaches that introduce the practical approach of analyzing various web data sources and extracting knowledge by taking into consideration the unique challenges present in the Web Environment. This book attracts contributions in all aspects pertaining to this multidisciplinary paradigm. The authors are expected to investigate state-of-art achievements, applications and research issues in the field of Web mining and the related categories. in recent years, we did not final some reference books focus on Web Mining, or exploring the techniques, and practical approaches in the Web, all available sources from text books or others focus on Data Mining techniques and applications and the science of data mining differ from Web mining in which we need to apply adjusted and new algorithms to work with different data types that reside in Web sources. we have seen some books since 2001 and 2007 focus only on Web Content Mining and Usage mining and these books left the other subject related to structure mining as well as do not list the new challenges in recent years by explosive growth of Web data. This book aim to bring together all techniques and practical approaches in Web Mining Categories which includes (Web Content Mining, Web Structure Mining, and Web Usage Mining).

Owing to the scope and diversity of topics covered, the book will be of interest not only to researchers and theorists but also to professionals, Web Application developers, technology specialists and methodological dealing with the multifarious aspects of Web Mining, and who are interest to extract knowledge from variant Web Data sources, in which exist in many forms and structure. The book is of immense help to academicians, Web agencies, Web development companies, Web Designers, Web programmers, professionals and technological engineering seeking a thorough understanding of practical and real time applications and the principles of Web data mining. The book will give these professionals, an overview of Web Mining Techniques and applications and they will be aware of promising solutions to the research problems and identify challenging and unresolved problems for their own research. Academicians and research scholars are other projected audience who identify applications, tools and methodologies through discussions on qualitative/quantitative results, literature reviews and reference citations.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before October 15, 2021, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by October 16, 2021 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by November 5, 2021, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Advanced Practical Approaches to Web Mining Techniques and Application. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
