This book is about the supply chain and focuses on the dynamic aspects of the supply chain through the case studies. Technological progress such as product and process innovations change the structure and management of the supply chain. In addition, the supply chain changes significantly depending on social conditions including consumer needs. The key themes of this book are the dynamic aspects of supply chain and these case studies.


This book will illustrate the success, the decay and comeback processes by providing basic theoretical frameworks and symbolic cases. Although most supply chains have changed dramatically in the long run, the dynamic aspects of supply chains have been conducted on research very rarely. However, those have a close relation with our daily life and have been advanced in the business practice. . The aim of this book is as follows. First, this book helps more people understand the dynamic aspects of the supply chain. Various factors cause these changes in the suppliers, factory and storage locations, production processes, distribution structures and so on. Secondly, this book gives readers the frameworks of evolutional supply chain through the symbolic case studies. Various cases beyond industries and countries will be included. The most important thing is to bring lessons to the reader.

Target Audience

The target of this book is very wide from the freshman to businessman because supply chain activities are inextricably linked to everyday life. However, the depth of the supply chain is not well unknown.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before September 2, 2021, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by September 18, 2021 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by December 2, 2021, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Frameworks and Cases on Evolutional Supply Chain. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
