Introduction

This handbook presents contemporary developments in the adoption of artificial intelligence in textual analysis of literary works and social media. It introduces current approaches, techniques, and practices in data science that are implemented to scrap and analyze text data. The book contains chapters that cover a wide range of topics related to emergence, development, and applications of Text Analytics. The chapters cover topics such as Opinion Mining and its use in literary studies (e.g., Topic Modelling, and Thematic analysis), the application of Machine Learning in the study of social media (e.g., Stance Detection, Classification of Emotions, and Sentiment Analysis), and data mining and processing techniques and applications. As the chapters provide multidisciplinary approaches that engage computer science with data science, social sciences, and literary studies, the handbook would be of great interest for scholars, lecturers, and students of various disciplines.

Objective

The main objective of this book is to introduce artificial intelligence approaches in the analysis of literary works and social media. This book initiates a new multidisciplinary filed which is the combination of artificial intelligence, data science, social science, literature, and social media study.

Target Audience

Scholars, lecturers, students, from various disciplines will be considered as the main audience for this book. Furthermore, this book will be useful for organizations in better decision making.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before May 11, 2022, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by May 25, 2022 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by July 24, 2022, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Artificial Intelligence Applications in Literary Works and Social Media. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
