Recently, the Internet of Things (IoT) has brought the vision of a smarter world into reality with a massive amount of data and numerous services. With the outbreak of COVID-19, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has gained significant attention by utilizing its machine learning algorithms for quality patient care. The integration of IoT with AI, on the other hand, may open up new possibilities for both technologies. AI-powered IoT can play a big part in smart healthcare by providing improved insight into healthcare data and allowing for more inexpensive personalized care. It can also offer strong processing and storage facilities for large IoT data streams (big data) that go beyond the capabilities of individual “things”, as well as provide real-time automated decision-making. While academics have made progress in their individual studies of AI and IoT for health services, there has been little focus on establishing cost-effective and affordable smart healthcare services. The AI-driven Internet of Things (AIIoT) for smart healthcare has the potential to transform various aspects of the industry; however, many technological difficulties must be overcome before this potential can be realized.


This book presents a fully understanding on recent advancements in AI and IoT convergence technologies, with a focus on state-of-the-art approaches, methodologies, and systems for the design, development, deployment, and innovative use of those convergence technologies. It provides insight for how to develop AI and IoT convergence techniques to meet industrial demands, as well as to cover the emerging research topics which are going to define the future of AI and IoT convergence technologies development.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before July 20, 2022, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by August 3, 2022 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by November 17, 2022, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Handbook of Research on Advancements in AI and IoT Convergence Technologies. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
