The 6G wireless network will expand service experiences and human activities in new scenarios, such as hyper-high-speed railway (HSR) and smart connected vehicles. According to ITU-T, 6G defines extreme requirements for new services and new media support, such as ultra-low latency and ultra-high reliable communications, high efficiency, and capacity especially for intelligent driving. Accordingly, deep investigations regarding new approaches and mechanisms regarding communication, caching, control, and computing strategies are required to enable advanced vehicular services within 6G networks.


This book will aim to provide relevant theoretical frameworks and the latest empirical research findings in the area. It will be written for professionals who want to improve their understanding of communication, caching, control, and computing technologies enabling advanced vehicular services within 6G networks. In addition, it will consolidate the recent research initiatives directed towards exploiting communication, caching, control, and computing (4C) as well as artificial intelligence based strategies to enable advanced vehicular services, applications and use cases. As the technology is getting mature and as its standard use cases are being established, there is a need to gather the recent research contributions into one single book that will shed the light on several aspects and facts on the use of this technologies in different field of interest.

Target Audience

The target audience of this book will be composed of professionals and researchers working in the field of communication, caching, control, or/and computing (4C) approaches for smart connected vehicles. In addition, this book could be benefit for young researchers wishing to start exploring the potentials of the communication, caching, control, or/and computing (4C) approaches for smart connected vehicles. Another audience would be any researchers who are aspiring in cross-discipline research and is looking for a single encompassing reference that provides enough depth and breadth to engage in using 4C approaches for advanced vehicular based systems within the new generation of cellular networks technologies for other areas of expertise he/she masters. Some potential uses would be reference material for graduate courses in Advanced Cellular Networks, Vehicular networks, advanced and intelligent computing strategies. It would serve certainly as a good reference for those who are engaged in research in the vehicular network technologies itself and the potentials and pitfalls of its application. Last but not least, this is will be an excellent roadmap for graduate programs and courses which are related to vehicular networks in the 6G Era. The research and development community, thus providing a valuable reference for those who wish to build strong expertise in as many fields of study or application as possible. The impact of this book is expected to reach a large slice of the communication and networking community. Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before July 20, 2022, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by August 3, 2022 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by October 2, 2022, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Secure and Intelligent Networking, Computing, and Communication Strategies for Vehicular based Systems in the 6G Era. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
