Introduction

The climate change crisis presents a multi-dimensional challenge to the development of the built environment. With finite global resources and increasingly unpredictable climate patterns, the need to improve our understanding of sustainable practices and materials for construction has never been more pressing. In this regard, the present Handbook of Research aims to shed more light on the recent developments on the usage of sustainable materials to protect metallic materials against corrosion. Now it’s mandatory to manage material corrosion and prevent accelerating corrosion rates could be the key to a sustainable future for cities, and economic infrastructure with the aim of reducing the cost of damages, whether economic or environmental, striving for a sustainable future. A major factor in this is the sustainability of materials that are used in construction, engineering, building and industrial materials and how the issue of corrosion accelerates the depletion of buildings and structures, presents a unique challenge for a future industrializing countries around the world. Handbook of Research on Corrosion Sciences and Engineering provides emerging research exploring the theoretical and practical aspects of corrosion engineering science and technology. Join us in discovering the industrial challenges that are shaping a sustainable future.

Objective

Handbook of Research on Corrosion Sciences and Engineering provides emerging research exploring the theoretical and practical aspects of corrosion engineering science and technology. Join us in discovering the industrial challenges that are shaping a sustainable future. The Handbook of Research on Corrosion Sciences and Engineering brings together innovative, critical reviews and original articles to shed more light on the recent progress and advances on the "Engineering sustainable materials", "Usage and application of sustainable materials", "Sustainable solutions to protect metallic materials against corrosion", "Corrosion prevention", "Corrosion Engineering". Chapters may be of a fundamental sciences, experimental or industrial aspect, provided that they make a significant contribution to knowledge in the Corrosion Sciences & Sustainable Engineering fields.

Target Audience

Target audience of this Handbook of Research will be composed of professionals and researchers working in the field of corrosion and corrosion protection of materials in various disciplines.
