Introduction

The growth of companies' online presence is an unquestionable reality. However, not everything goes online, and the physical presence of companies continues to exist, with the physical retail point of sale as a place for experimentation and immediate consumption, brand showroom, and support for online sales, which are fundamental to the shopping experience. Managing a retail point of sale implies acting on several fronts, bearing in mind the market requirements, the point of sale's brand strategy, the strategies of the brands being sold, and all other aspects related to the management of a business, but considering the specificities of a retail point of sale. This book seeks to cover the widest possible range of knowledge areas that influence the success of a retail point of sale and incorporate concepts such as sustainability and circular economy.

Objective

The book's main purpose is to provide knowledge and skills to allow readers to understand and apply the different concepts, techniques, and tools to manage a retail point of sale in the various aspects of a business.

Target Audience

The audience of this book consists essentially of three groups: (i) management and marketing academics and their students (undergraduate/graduate programs), who need to strengthen or dominate new concepts, know studies developed using quantitative or qualitative methodologies. (ii) researchers, to monitor conceptual developments and analyze studies. (iii) general managers, sales managers, sales personnel teams, and marketers who need to obtain more knowledge and skills to optimize the potential of the retail point of sale.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before January 4, 2023, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by January 18, 2023 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by March 19, 2023, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Management and Marketing for Improved Retail Competitiveness and Performance. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
