Introduction

Today's world is intertwined with information technology. The rapid growth of these evolving technologies and the emergence of the virtuous triangle, the Internet of Things, big data and artificial intelligence have revolutionized the entire world today. Various industries and businesses, meanwhile, have been heavily influenced by these technologies. The presence of these technologies has always created many challenges and opportunities for businesses. Therefore, understanding the effects of this data on logistics processes and supply chain can play a significant role in improving business performance. The presence of the Covid 19 epidemic has added to these roles. For this reason, this book tries to study and analyze the effects of information space on the performance of supply chains from different aspects.

Therefore, it is necessary to have such a book that examines the important effects of information logistics from different angles. Perhaps by understanding the concepts associated with this book, it is possible to integrate intelligent, secure, flexible, agile, and pure supply chains seamlessly.



Objective

This book examines the dimensions, components, and key indicators of logistics and smart supply chains. Our goal in this book is to empower supply chains by identifying the procedures and tools that can help make logistics smarter in today's world. We will also show what capabilities the information space adds to traditional logistics systems in today's world. A correct understanding of all the influencing components can create new and powerful solutions to improve processes in the logistics industry.

Target Audience

Students, researchers and graduates of bachelor's, master's and doctoral courses in in industrial engineering, industrial management, economics and mathematics and also activists in the field of supply chain in various industries such as food industry, arbitration industry, agriculture, electronics and so on are among the potential audience of this book. In addition, all those who are interested in the field of Smart supply chains can also be the audience of this book.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before May 24, 2023, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by June 7, 2023 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by August 6, 2023, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Information Logistics for Organizational Empowerment and Effective Supply Chain Management. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
