Introduction

A book on this topic founds its relevance and pertinence today due the rise of online learning platforms, virtual classrooms, and digital communication tools and AI-based solutions, that makes understanding effective communication strategies even more crucial in the classroom. In today's rapidly evolving digital age, the landscape of education is undergoing significant transformations. The integration of digital technologies in education presents gigantic opportunities for enhancing the teacher-student relationship and the learning process, but also threats and challenges that deserve a deeper look. Although the possibilities to improve the educational system, with the use of new technologies are almost endless, one should bear in mind that digital tools can, sometimes, also lead to passive learning. Nevertheless, effective communication strategies can foster active engagement and participation and enhance teacher-student relationships toward a positive learning environment. Another issue is related to well-being. There all several scientific evidence showing how the digital environment can impact students' mental health differently than in traditional settings. This way, communication nowadays requires new sets of social skills for both teachers and students. Constructive feedback is essential, not only to support and guide but also to help students grow. The myriads of tools available today allow any educator to tailor instruction to individual student needs, offering opportunities for personalized learning experiences. A book on how communication strategies can improve the teacher-student relationship and the learning process in a highly digital environment is not only timely but also essential. By addressing the evolving needs of modern education, it ensures that both teachers and students can thrive in a digital world through better communication. On the one hand, this book can help bridge the gap between generations, languages, styles, procedures, motivations, and expectations between students and professors. On the other hand, it can also contribute to creating, sharing, and promoting the best practices and resources for effective communication in the 21st-century classroom. The authors believe that this book can serve as a comprehensive guide for educators looking to navigate and leverage digital communication to improve educational outcomes.

Second, to produce an in-depth analysis of the wide array of challenges and opportunities presented by the integration of digital technologies in education, including considerations on mental health, engagement, and personalized learning. The purpose of this book is to provide a comprehensive resource for educators, academic researchers, students, and practitioners, serving as both a reference book and a textbook for navigating and optimizing communication in the 21st-century digital classroom.
