Share Your Journal With Your Library

Often, acquisitions librarians rely heavily on the expertise of their faculty members for recommendations of scholarly titles that will enhance the university’s library collection. Please recommend your journal title to your librarian using the “Recommend to Librarian Tab,” located on the right section of the journal’s webpage, or through the “Recommend to Librarian Form,” located beneath the Discoverability tab in the eEditorial Discovery® system, in order to ensure that your fellow colleagues and students at your institution can have access to this publication.

We strongly encourage you to work with your fellow faculty, and those in other departments that could benefit from this publication, to actively recommend this title to your library as it will showcase how your publication is critical to your institution. Additionally, you will need to ensure that your library remains subscribed during the changing volume years and help encourage your fellow journal contributors to continually utilize the journal as well as recommend the journal once the volume year ends.

Additionally, you are able to take advantage of IGI Global’s Open Access Fee Waiver (Read and Publish) Model Initiative that enables you to have you open access article processing charges waived when your library is subscribed to IGI Global’s InfoSci-Journals.

When your library invests in IGI Global’s InfoSci-Journals, a database of over 25,000 peer-reviewed articles with 1,000,000+ citation reference sourced from 185+ scholarly journals, you and your fellow contributors can have your OA APCs waived through your libraries investment, allowing you to freely share your research findings. Additionally, your institution will have access to IGI Global’s full journal collection, including your journal title, improving the overall citation impact of your journal. Through this increased exposure, your journal is more likely to be indexed in prestigious indices such as Web of Science or Scopus, bolstering the prestige of the journal and the overall discoverability of your contributions. Be sure to share this information with others in your department and on your journal and recommend IGI Global’s InfoSci-Journals database to your librarian.

If you recommend your journal title to your librarian or the InfoSci-Journals database, please contact IGI Global’s Marketing Team at marketing@igi-global.com or call 1-866-342-6657, and we can help support your recommendation and provide your librarian with specialized discounts and offers to ensure that your publication is made available to your institution.

Share Your Article Through Open Access

All of IGI Global’s journals are available under the hybrid open access model which allows the author to select whether to publish their paper via the traditional, subscription-based model or as an open access article, which will be made freely available upon publication.

If the author selects the open access option, an article processing charge (currently $2,000 per article) must be paid by either the author or a funding body. The article processing charge covers the costs associated with publishing the article and in turn, allows the published article to be freely read online, distributed, and reused. Through opening up your article under IGI Global’s hybrid OA model, you can freely share your research findings with others in your field.

IGI Global authors also have the opportunity to have their article processing charges waived when their library invests in IGI Global’s InfoSci-Journals, a database of over 25,000+ articles sourced from 185+ scholarly journals, through IGI Global’s Open Access Fee Waiver (Read and Publish) Model. Recommend the InfoSci-Journals database to your librarian to take advantage of this opportunity, and for more information view IGI Global’s 2018 Charleston Conference Neapolitan Panel Session describing this initiative below:

Journal Indexing Guidelines

IGI Global takes pride in having publications indexed by major indices worldwide. So long as they meet the required criteria, all IGI Global publications are submitted for indexing to indices including Web of Science, Scopus, Inspec, PsycINFO, Ei Compendex, and more. IGI Global has a dedicated abstracting and indexing department that focuses on assisting editors with formulating a strong campaign for their journals. They work very closely with the editorial department at IGI Global to ensure that, as new journal issues are released on schedule, they are immediately submitted for consideration to the appropriate channels.

Many of the most prominent indices are very selective in the content they choose to accept, so it is imperative that authors and editors carefully prepare their published work according to established publishing guidelines in order to increase their chances for acceptance. A publication rejected by a major index for not meeting these requirements may be placed on probation, or worse, have no future chances for inclusion. It is IGI Global’s goal to have all of our publications included in these prestigious indices. A sincere thanks to our authors and editors who assist in making this happen.

Please Note: We strongly discourage editors to submit their own journals for inclusion into an index. IGI Global has developed strong relationships with these indices and will notify the appropriate individuals if a journal has been indexed or will recommend ways to increase the likelihood of the journal to be indexed.

To view the criteria indices review when selecting publications for indexing, visit IGI Global’s Abstracting and Indexing Webpage. Additionally, view all of IGI Global’s indexed journals here.
