Anthony P. Gomes

Anthony P. Gomes, originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh, moved to USA in 1993. After doing his Master’s in business management from Dhaka University, Bangladesh, he ventured into private sector management positions including one of the leading NGO in Bangladesh, World Vision. After moving to USA, Mr. Gomes changed his career path and began his journey in the IT field and now working with TeamPeople, Washington D.C. Mr. Gomes has almost 40 years of experience in community development, he is a social activist playing a key role in many social organizations in Washington metro area and beyond in North American. He is also a creative writer and editor with almost 40 years of experiences. He has written a lot of valuable articles in local and regional publications in Bangladesh as well as in USA and most of his contributions were focusing on the social welfare, equality and community development for the betterment of the society. He has worked as the Chief Editor for many publications in last four decades including some of the special publications of the leading nationwide events in Bangladeshi community in USA. He brings a rich experience of professional, social and literary talents and contributing member of the community in USA. He has been involved with numerous socio-cultural organizations and still contributing towards the social welfare with his intellectual resources. He has been involved with a lot of organizations from the beginning of his involvement with social works and he dreams of a better, more equitable just society and contribute towards building a better future for the next generation!
