Dana G. Stilley

Dana Stilley has a wide range of professional leadership experience in higher education administration, investment management, and risk management. Following a successful career on Wall Street, Dr. Stilley began a career in higher education administration. She has served as the Dean of Enrollment Management, and Vice President of Student Services at Rockland Community College. In 2021, she successfully her defended her dissertation titled A Narrative Study of the Experiences that Disrupt or Terminate Entry in the Community College Presidential Pipeline for African American Women and received her PhD in Community College Leadership from Old Dominion University. Currently, Dr. Stilley is a professor at Dominican University, where she teaches Mathematics. She is also the CEO of The Stilley Agency, which specializes in dissertation coaching and editing. Dr. Stilley is dedicated to advocating for equity, social justice, educational attainment, and leadership development. She is the immediate past president of the South Orangetown Central School District Board of Education, where she continues to serve. Additionally, she is the President of the Rockland Negro Scholarship Fund, Inc., and a member of the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels of Rockland. And Venture Together. Dana is also a past president of the Rockland County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc., and a member of the Chapters Executive Board. Additionally, she is a member of the Eastern Regional Leadership Team of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Dr. Stilley has received various honors for her leadership and commitment to her surrounding community. She was awarded the Poindexter Award, which recognizes the outstanding community college leadership doctoral student for their exhibited leadership, mentorship, and scholarship. She was also named a Woman of Distinction by the 97th Assembly District of New York State for her outstanding leadership. Dr. Stilley has also presented at The Northeastern Episcopal District Restoration Summit, The Imagine Me Women’s Conference, The Council for the Study of Community Colleges, was a guest on the podcast.
