Segmentation of Pregnant Women to Guide How Intervention Programs Are Formulated and Implemented to Ensure Positive Pregnancy Outcomes
Donald Douglas Atsa'am, Terlumun Gbaden, Ruth Wario. © 2023. 14 pages.
Interventions and schemes aimed at reducing the risks associated with pregnancy are often implemented wholesale. This often leads to misdirection of interventions to the wrong...
Variable Selection by Domain Experts vs. Filter Algorithms for Clinical Predictive Modeling
Terlumun Gbaden, Jerome Aondongu Achir, Donald Douglas Atsa'am. © 2023. 18 pages.
Studies on variable selection in the medical field have focused largely on algorithms with little attention paid to domain experts in this regard. This chapter compared the...

Classifier Selection for the Prediction of Dominant Transmission Mode of Coronavirus Within Localities: Predicting COVID-19 Transmission Mode
Donald Douglas Atsa'am, Ruth Wario. © 2021. 12 pages.
The coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is an ongoing concern that requires research in all disciplines to tame its spread. Nine classification algorithms were selected...
Feature Selection Algorithm Using Relative Odds for Data Mining Classification
Donald Douglas Atsa'am. © 2020. 26 pages.
A filter feature selection algorithm is developed and its performance tested. In the initial step, the algorithm dichotomizes the dataset then separately computes the association...
