Filipa Brandão

Filipa Brandão holds a Ph.D. in Tourism and a MSc in Tourism Management and Development from the University of Aveiro. She is Assistant Professor at the at the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering and Tourism (DEGEIT) of the University of Aveiro. She is a full member of the Research Unit in ‘Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies’ of the University of Aveiro (GOVCOPP-UA), Vice- Director of the Master in Tourism Management and Planning, Associate Editor of Tourism & Development Journal. She authored or co-authored books, book chapters and papers published in international journals. She is also involved in applied research and consultancy projects in the field of Tourism and Leisure and is a member of the organizing and scientific committees of international tourism conferences. Her research and scientific production focus on tourism innovation, regional development, social network analysis, and tourism destinations’ planning and management.
