Katherine Cullinan Holman

Katherine C. Holman , Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is an associate professor in the Department of Special Education at Towson University and a certified speech-language pathologist. Dr. Holman is the director of the Teacher as Leader in Autism Master’s program and is a regional autism consultant. She is a co-editor and author of the book, “School Success for Kids with Autism.” The focus of Dr. Holman’s clinical and research work is the development of effective interventions to improve social connections and communication in individuals with autism, effective professional development and coaching systems and strategies for empowering families, including the use of person-centered practices. Dr. Holman presents nationally and leads workshops on how to design instructional programming to promote successful educational outcomes for individuals with disabilities and was awarded a Wilson H. Elkins Professorship in 2018 from the University Systems of Maryland and the University Systems of Maryland Board of Regents Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2021.
