Kim Brown

Kim Brown is an Associate Professor, the Associate Chairperson, and the Director of Accreditation and Assessment for the Department of Education at the University of North Carolina Asheville. Kim holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and 9 teaching licenses. Kim teaches numerous teacher licensure courses, and her areas of expertise include Educational Assessment, Elementary Science Methods, and Elementary Literacy Methods. Kim is passionate about helping future teachers gain the skills inherent in effectively teaching a diversity of students and effective implementation of trauma-informed practices.
