Mª Lourdes Pomposo

Lourdes Pomposo has a Degree in English Philology from the University of La Laguna and has worked as an English teacher in different educational and professional contexts for more than 30 years. She had her own company based in Madrid teaching professional English in business environments for ten years, which led her to specialize her knowledge in Business English. She received her PhD from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) and is currently an Associate Professor of ESP at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid at the Department of Applied Linguistics, teaching English for academic and professional communication in Engineering Degrees. Her main research interests and her publications are based on Business English, Oral Assessment, CALL, MALL and Virtual Exchange.
