Ömer Esen

Ömer Esen was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1981. He is an associate professor in the Department of Public Finance at the Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University. He received his Ph.D. degrees on the topic of the energy deficit issue of Turkey in the context of sustainable growth in 2013 from the Ataturk University in Erzurum, Turkey. His research interests are primarily in the areas of macroeconomics, energy economics, Turkish economy and structural reforms with a particular focus on the economic growth, macroeconomic stability, sustainable growth, pollution emissions, climate change and public policy. He has published widely on the energy economics, public economics, and applied macroeconomics.
