Roxana Ciolăneanu

Roxana CiolăneanuRoxana Ciolăneanu teaches translation and Romanian as a foreign language at the University of Lisbon, Portugal, where she also holds a research position with the Centre for Linguistics. Her research interests mainly lie in cognitive semantics, sociolinguistics, contrastive linguistics, translation, and terminology. She has published various articles and studies in line with her research activity and co-edited several collective volumes, the most recent ones being Building Cultural Bridges in the Translation of Irony and Humour (2024) and Translation and Cultural Mediation. Myths, Legends and Fairytales in Romania and across the World (2020).
