KaliappanS. is Head of the Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering Department. at Velammal Institute of Technology, faculty member since 2011. He completed his Ph.D. and M.E at Anna University, Chennai and his B.E at R.V.S College of Engineering & Technology, Dindigul. He is having more than 23 years experience . His research interests lie in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics, Thermal Sciences, Internal Combustion Engine, Automotive system, Research Methodologies, Composites, etc. He has served as technical committee head in conferences and workshop and worked as the reviewers and Editorial Board Member for several National and International Journals. He published almost 53 research articles in various national and international journals and conferences, organized STTPs, FDPs, Conferences and other technical events. He holds international Australian Patent Grants and published Indian Patents .He co-authored 15 books . He is Life member in ISTE, International Association of Engineers, member in Universal Association of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineers, Institute Of Research Engineers And Doctors. He got Young Researcher Award in InSc awards-2021
