Supriya Ray

Supriya Ray has done her bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition Management from J.D. Birla Institute under Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2010. She did her master’s degree in Food Science and Technology from Gitam University, Andhra Pradesh in 2015. After that, she pursued her career in research and development. She worked as a Junior Research Fellow in CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research till 2018. She then joined Anthropological Survey of India as a Junior Research Fellow in 2019. Besides, she also registered for Ph. D in Applied Genetics at Karnatak University, Dharwad from 2019. She did her bachelor’s degree project, titled “A study on the Nutritional Status of Pregnant Women belonging to the Bengali Community” and her master’s degree project, titled “Physico-Chemical Properties of Spinach Leaves with Different Pre-treatments and drying Methods”. She has published 1 paper in International Journal, participated in poster presentation at IFCON in 2013 and attended several conferences. She secured 1st rank in master’s degree and achieved DST INSPIRE Fellowship in 2016. She also got special appreciation for poster presentation in UGC sponsored National conference held in Visakhapatnam in 2014.
