Timothy Shawn Beyak

Timothy S. Beyak is a history and global studies teacher with the Louis Riel School Division. His interests focus on rhizomatic learning, language and literacy, and practitioner research. In 2021, he graduated with a Master of Education in curriculum, teaching, and learning from the University of Manitoba. His thesis study explored the intra-actions of teaching and learning within a global studies classroom and the entangled ways of being/doing/becoming that involve students, teachers, community members, and other organic/inorganic, human/nonhuman, and living/nonliving agents. He supports healthy community, citizenship, and human rights goals through education and service work. Tim received the Learners' Teacher Recognition Award from the University of Manitoba Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning in 2014 and the Betty A.
