Youmei Liu

Youmei Liu earned her doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction focusing on instructional technology in 2003 from the University of Houston. She worked as an instructional designer and educational production specialist. Currently she is the Director of Assessment and Accreditation Services at the University of Houston. Dr. Liu has rich research experiences and has numerous publications in the area of quality course design, innovative use of educational technology, distance education, mobile learning and student learning assessment. She has extensive accomplishments in collaborative research with faculty, in development of evaluation programs to assess teaching and learning quality, in conducting major innovative research projects on instructional technology, and in presenting research projects at important national and international conferences. She has also served as an evaluator for the NSF grants in higher educational institutions.
