Zainuddin Ibrahim

Zainuddin Ibrahim graduated with an honours degree in Graphic Design from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2002. Later, he pursued a Master’s Degree in Visual Communication and New Media in 2008 from the same university. Finally, the University of Malaya awarded him a PhD in Curriculum and Instructional Technology in 2016. In terms of working experience, he worked for two years in the creative industry before joining UiTM as a tutor in 2004. In 2006, he was promoted to young lecturer and, after that, became a senior lecturer. His teaching philosophy is based on knowledge, student preferences, different ways of learning, and technology. First, as academicians, we are responsible for imparting knowledge, especially in our area of expertise. Second, knowledge is a valuable asset, and education is vital to ensure that knowledge is taught well. Third, all students have the same right to learn. Felder and Silverman (2002) say that the challenge is to give students an education that fits their different learning styles and preferences. Lastly, using the right kinds of technology will help students learn more. Thanks to Felder and Solomon for creating the Index of Learning Styles, which helps identify students’ learning styles and preferences.
