Assistant Development Editor

IGI Global is seeking a motivated and energetic individual with strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, and research skills to fill a full-time entry-level position as an Assistant Development Editor in the Book Development Division of the Editorial Content Department. The Assistant Development Editor assists with a variety of tasks including the organization of incoming research materials and ongoing communication with authors and editors to ensure timely completion of projects. Qualified candidates should be able to multi-task, meet established deadlines, and work well independently. Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred. Publishing, copy editing, and online research experience is a plus, but not required.

Requirements: An earned Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Mass Media, or related areas is required.

Editorial Assistant

IGI Global is seeking a motivated and energetic individual with strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, and research skills to fill a full-time entry-level position as an Editorial Assistant in the Acquisitions Division of the Editorial Content Department of the company. The Editorial Assistant assists with a variety of editorial and administrative tasks including the commissioning of book and journal projects, facilitating the proposal review process, online research, file organization, and the ongoing composition of concise communications targeting prospective authors and editors. Qualified candidates should have excellent communication both in writing and verbal skills, as well as the ability to multi-task, meet established deadlines, and work well independently. Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred. Publishing, copy editing, and online research experience is a plus, but not required..
