Editorial Intern

IGI Global is seeking a motivated and energetic individual with strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, and research skills to fill a part-time Editorial Intern position (30 hours/week) in the Acquisitions Division of the Editorial Content Department. The Editorial Intern assists with a variety of editorial and administrative tasks including the commissioning of book and journal projects, facilitating the proposal review process, online research, file organization, and the ongoing composition of concise communications targeting prospective authors and editors. Qualified candidates should be articulate, able to multi-task, meet established deadlines, and work well independently. Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred. Publishing, copy editing, and online research experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation Package:
  • This is a paid internship. The hours will be up to 30 hours per week.
Educational Requirements:
  • An earned Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Mass Media, or related areas is required.

Assistant Development Editor

IGI Global is seeking a motivated and energetic individual with strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, and research skills to fill a position as an Assistant Development Editor in the Book Development Division of the Editorial Content Department. The Assistant Development Editor assists with a variety of tasks including the organization of incoming research materials, ongoing communication with authors and editors to ensure timely completion of projects, as well as occasional proofreading. Qualified candidates should be able to multi-task, meet established deadlines, and work well independently. Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred. Publishing, copy editing, project management, and online research experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation Package:
  • This position is a full-time (40+ hours per week), salaried position.
