Assistant Development Editor

IGI Global is seeking a motivated and energetic individual with strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, and research skills to fill a position as an Assistant Development Editor in the Book Development Division of the Editorial Content Department. The Assistant Development Editor assists with a variety of tasks including the organization of incoming research materials, ongoing communication with authors and editors to ensure timely completion of projects, as well as occasional proofreading. Qualified candidates should be able to multi-task, meet established deadlines, and work well independently. Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred. Publishing, copy editing, project management, and online research experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation Package:
  • This position is a full-time (40+ hours per week), salaried position.
Educational Requirements:
  • An earned Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Mass Media, or related areas is required.



Administrative Assistant

IGI Global is seeking an Administrative Assistant who under the supervision of the Office Manager, will perform a wide range of activities in support of company-wide operations. This individual will be expected to perform daily administrative tasks that will facilitate operations and long-term growth of the company, while also maintaining complete confidentiality.

General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Daily briefings with the Office Manager to review the current status of various operations within the company.
  • Support human resource activities within the company
  • Maintain files for contracts, insurance, financial information, and properties.
  • Aid in the coordination of office and staff correspondence, both internally and externally.
  • Assist as needed with the distribution of critical information to IGI Global Managers/Directors.
  • Assist with making travel arrangements (air, train, and hotel).
  • Assist, as needed, with research and documentation for special projects.
  • Assist, as needed, with the preparation of meeting agendas and minutes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferable) in business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong business and management experience
  • Strong time management
  • Resourceful, with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong team player and one who communicates with others effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and independently
  • Self-motivated and willing to proactively identify and take on new initiatives.
