Abstract

When COVID-19 spread from China, the majority of people witnessed that the form of education changed. This situation has increased the need for online education platforms. Although videoconference platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet became popular to meet the requirement, these platforms have some drawbacks. To illustrate, the majority of students are not active and cannot take a proactive role during the lectures. Furthermore, they stay idle and get bored on the waiting rooms of these platforms. To fill this gap, an extendable functioning waiting room was created by using ASP.NET framework via Visual Studio platform. Proposed waiting room present a solution for enhancing user experience (UX) by increasing user engagement on the online education platform. This chapter would be interesting for not only educators who use online learning platforms but also videoconference platform users and developers.
