Abstract

A serious disturbance, ecological and psychological, that significantly surpasses the ability of the impacted community to cope is called a disaster or climate change, which has an adverse effect on the human race. With intervention, evaluation, and prevention, the effects of physical necessities and psychological needs of people during a disaster can be taken care of. Disasters have a certain duration and location, and in their wake there is a chain reaction of additional stressors and challenges. In both the pre and post impact stage, parameters of mental stress must be explored such that psychological treatments can be done.Hence, in this chapter, the parameters of mental stress during a disaster are found by extensive literature review and interpretive structural modelling is implemented to generate a contextual relationship between them
