Abstract

The philosophical dimensions of women's empowerment and nurture in all spheres of life will be addressed in this chapter. Additionally, there will be an effort to look at the problems and obstacles those women's empowerment faces both globally and on the Indian subcontinent. Another endeavor would be launched to examine the situation in the Indian Subcontinent with a small survey of women in senior roles across several industries. The chapter also provided instances of empowered women from the Indian subcontinent.

Main Focus Of The Chapter

This chapter would seek answers for the conceptual facets of women empowerment and nurturing. Also, it would like to explore different theoretical and practical aspects of women empowerment in academia and other essential arenas. Also, there would be an endeavour to investigate the issues and challenges related to women’s empowerment globally as well as in Indian subcontinents. There would be another initiative to check the scenario in Indian subcontinents with a minuscule survey with women in leadership positions from various fields like academia and research (Higher Education), medical, law, entrepreneurial ventures, media (including social media), and journalism. The main purpose of the chapter is to explore the journey of these successful women (the representing sample) aka leaders through their own eyes, unveiling the practical scenario in the developing countries. Figure 1 is portraying the purpose of the chapter in a concise manner.

The sample profile of the respondents has been given in Table 1, showing the sample distribution across the countries, while Table 2, Table 3 and Table 4 are showing their age, education and profession, respectively. Figure 2 and Figure 3 showcase the profile of the respondents. This chapter primarily deals with following research questions:

Work-life Balance for Women: Work-life balance for women refers to the equilibrium and harmony between a woman's professional or work-related responsibilities and her personal life, including family, relationships, self-care, and leisure activities. It involves creating a sustainable and fulfilling lifestyle that allows women to meet their career aspirations while also maintaining their overall well-being and quality of life.
