Description & Coverage
Description:

Knowledge management and advanced information technologies such as AI, IoT, machine learning, and more can create digital tools and solutions to build more resilient, climate neutral, and green economies and societies. These digital tools and solutions and knowledge management can have a heavy impact on the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs) in Asia.

Covering topics such as climate neutral economies, image recognition, and usability evaluation, this premier reference source is an excellent resource for deans, heads of departments, directors, politicians, policymakers, corporate heads, senior general managers, managing directors, librarians, students and educators of higher education, academicians, and researchers.

Reviews & Statements

"On 24th February 2022, The Sultan of Brunei highlighted in his 38th National Day speech the need for acceleration of digital transformation to recover from the impact of COVID-19 (Bibie Roslan, February 24th, 2022). Our research is about the Readiness of Digital Transformation in the Private Sector: Brunei’s Case Study. This research is novel as it focuses on Brunei, and it not only gathered data on stages of digital transformation, but also its readiness, barriers, and drivers in every stage. This research is relevant to researchers, the government, and practitioners in the private sector. This research can contribute to the digital transformation of private organisations as well as the government in implementing policies for digital transformation. This research found that most private organisations faced challenges in the final stage of digital transformation due to the lack of employee rewards and motivating factors for the employees to participate in the transformation. Meanwhile, the drivers of digital transformation are the shifts in the competitive landscape and policies that make organisations more competitive and innovative. Secondly, it is the increasing demand for digitalisation that stems from customer’s needs. Lastly, there is also more interest in digital transformation in the industry."

– Nadia Syahirah Aji, Universiti Brunei Darussalam

The content of the chapter is the result of the first study applying Bayesian reliability theory to calculate the regional yield index premium for rice in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. This research result is an important scientific document that helps future studies flexibly apply to calculate insurance premiums for other crops, in order to meet diverse insurance needs for farmers and contribute to the agricultural production of the region and the country to develop more and more in a sustainable way.
