What is Behavior-Based Control

Encyclopedia of Information Science and Technology, Third Edition
A control strategy based on a network of behaviors that achieve and/or maintain goals. Behaviors are implemented as control laws, either in software or hardware. Each behavior can take inputs from the sensors, and send outputs to the effectors.
