Mission

The International Journal of Operations Research and Information Systems (IJORIS) aims to present new and innovative contributions in Operations Research (OR) theories, applications, and case studies, from a wide spectrum of academics and practitioners. IJORIS spans the traditional functional areas of business, including management information systems, production/operations management, business processes, quantitative economics, accounting, finance, marketing, business administration, and international business. IJORIS encourages exchange, cooperation, and collaboration among business, industry, and government.

IJORIS encompasses and bridges the following seven channels through theories, applications, and case studies:

  • The channel between research, practice, and policy
  • The channel of algorithms, computation and solutions
  • The channel of business functional areas
  • The channel of business, commerce, industry and government
  • The channel of quantitative and qualitative decision models
  • The channel of theory and applications
  • The channel spanning frameworks to tool-kits

    Reviews and Testimonials

My association as a Senior Editor for IJORIS journal has been very rewarding. The journal has been attracting and publishing high quality papers in operations research, including the emerging area of supply chain modeling and optimization. The short turnaround time for initial review has been remarkable!

    – Ravi Ravindran, PhD, Professor of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Chair-Enterprise Integration Consortium, Penn State University, USA

IJORIS is one of the leading journals in the field. It has covered a lot of important areas in Operations Research and has struck a good balance between theory and application.

    – Lee Loo Hay, Associate Professor, National University of Singapore

I am pleased and honored to have the opportunity to participate on the IJORIS editorial review board. This new journal provides an excellent bridge between the operations research academic and practitioner communities through its broad interests in theory, case studies, and applications.

    – Dr. Alan Johnson, Associate Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Air Force Institute of Technology, USA.
