Abstract

This chapter explores how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping responsible sourcing within contemporary supply chain and logistics networks. Moving beyond efficiency-driven narratives, it argues for the integration of ethical intelligence where AI systems are harnessed to uphold labor rights, environmental standards, and supply chain transparency. Drawing on global frameworks, empirical case studies, and recent regulatory developments, the chapter examines both the promises and perils of AI in procurement. It critically engages with issues of algorithmic bias, data ethics, and governance, emphasizing that technological innovation must be matched by normative reflection.
