Kamer Aivaz-Ainur
Kamer-Ainur Aivaz
is a professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of Ovidius University in Constanța and, since 2024, Director of the Doctoral School of Business Administration. He holds two habilitation certificates: in Cybernetics and Economic Statistics (ASE Bucharest, 2017) and in Business Administration (ASE Bucharest, 2024). His academic training includes doctoral studies at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest (thesis “Statistical-Economic Analysis of Maritime Transport”, 2003) and postdoctoral studies in economics at the Romanian Academy (2011–2012), supplemented by international internships in Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Serbia, and Turkey. His teaching activity focuses on teaching statistics, econometrics, and quantitative methods, both in Romanian and English. At the same time, he has been involved in academic leadership roles, serving as scientific secretary of the faculty (2004–2008) and coordinator of national and international research projects. He is the author of 13 books, 2 book chapters abroad, and over 250 articles and studies published in ISI and BDI indexed journals and conference proceedings. His research focuses on statistical and econometric analysis, education, social sciences, sustainable development, maritime economics, and managerial decision-making issues. He has participated in numerous European and national projects (MARSPLAN-BS II, ResPonSE, POSDRU, CEEX, POCU) and has been awarded international prizes for research and innovation, including gold medals at EUROINVENT (2023) and iCAN Toronto (2024). Recognized as a member of international scientific and editorial committees and as a reviewer for ISI journals with impact factor, Prof. Aivaz actively contributes to the development and internationalization of Romanian economic research.
