Kirsty Shakespeare
is an Engagement Project Manager at the University of Reading specialising in Climate and Environmental Sustainability, with a particular focus on advancing climate and nature education for local schools and the community. She is also a PhD student at the university, studying part time researching climate education policy and practice in England. Her role involves the design and delivery of programmes that provide opportunities for nature connection, strengthens climate literacy, builds confidence in sustainability action, and empowers people at all levels to understand and respond to environmental and climate challenges, by transforming complex climate science and policy into accessible, engaging learning experiences. Driven by a commitment to education and positive change, she works to ensure that climate understanding becomes a shared foundation for decision making and collective action.
