Kyrylo Leichenko
is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Systems, National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute,” Ukraine. He holds a PhD in Computer Engineering and has professional experience in both academia and industry, including long-term work as an Embedded Software Engineer on automotive and medical embedded systems. His research interests include UAV-based communication systems, flying networks, LiFi technologies, embedded systems, computer networking, decentralized and swarm-based systems, and obstacle-aware path planning. Dr. Leichenko has authored and co-authored scientific publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, as well as a monograph dedicated to methods and tools for planning the deployment of flying networks for data transmission under destruction conditions. He has participated in national research projects focused on the reliability, security, and dependability of critical information and cyber-physical infrastructures. In addition to his research activities, he teaches courses in computer networking, data science technologies, secure programming, and fundamentals of programming, and actively contributes to the development of UAV-based solutions for critical infrastructure applications.
