Prashant Choudhary
hails from Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. His sporting journey began on the tennis court, and showing exceptional promise, he relocated in 2005 to the Haryana National Tennis Academy for advanced training, which laid the foundation for his decorated junior tennis career. He went on to be ranked among the top five players nationally in the Under-12, Under-14, Under-16, and Under-18 categories, receiving sponsorship from the All India Tennis Association. Before joining college in 2014, he earned the prestigious ITF Level 1 and Level 2 International Tennis Federation coaching certifications, adding to his technical grounding in the sport. Later, he represented Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Gwalior in numerous university championships. Dr. Choudhary completed his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in Physical Education and Sports Sciences at LNIPE, earning his Ph.D. in 2024. He has qualified the UGC-NET JRF and MP SET examinations, further demonstrating his academic merit. In 2024, he joined Lovely Professional University as an Assistant Professor, before moving later that year to LNIPE, Gwalior, where he currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education Pedagogy. His research interests include sports sciences, athlete wellbeing, motor learning, sports performance enhancement, talent identification, and coaching science, with multiple research papers published in Scopus.
