Abstract
The phrase "glass ceiling" describes the hidden obstacles that keep women from rising to authority of leadership. Apart from a basic human right, gender equality is absolutely essential for reaching sustainable development and building a fair society. Though great progress has been achieved in recent years, gender equality is still a difficult and elusive target in many societies all around. The complete realization of an inclusive and diverse working environment is impeded by gender discrepancies.
