Abstract
COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a new virus and spread all over the world. It is a transferrable virus from human to human, and there is currently no vaccine to prevent COVID-19. The government is trying to prevent healthy ones from infected peoples that process is known as quarantine. During COVID19, people who travel from one states to other states are quarantined by the government of India at home or other places like hospitals, hotels, hostels, schools, etc. for a maximum of 14 days for the public safety. In this study, the authors discuss the differences between the home and other place quarantine in Kashmir. Also, they provide a solid conclusion about which one is better, home or outside the home for quarantine. The parameters that are used in this study are hygienic good, cleanness, mentally fit, sharing room, entertainment, medical care, and sleep. The paired t-test was used to check whether there is any significant difference between the parameters at home and outside quarantine, and the Shapiro-Wilk test at (α=0.05) was used to check the normality assumption.
TopIntroduction
COVID 19 is an infectious disease caused by a new virus by severe actuate respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). COVID 19 was found first in Wuhan (China) in November 2019 and spread all over the world within minimum time. The symptoms of COVID 19 include cough, fever, and breath problems and other symptoms are sore throat, pain, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, sputum production. The first case of COVID 19 was found in India on 30th January 2020. The country reported its first three cases in Kerala, all of whom were students who had returned from Wuhan, China. As of 30th June 2020, it was confirmed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare a total of 568346 cases, 335656 recoveries, and 16919 deaths. In Kashmir as mentioned date above there are a total of 7237 cases, 4585 recoveries, and 95 deaths. A 65-year-old man hailing from Srinagar died on Thursday (26th March 2020), becoming the first fatality in Jammu and Kashmir due to novel coronavirus. According to Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK), there are more than 17% of COVID19 positive cases in Kashmir whose age group is between 0 to 19 years, 75% between ages 20 to 60 years and 8% are above 60 years. Nearly, 72% of those who die from this virus in Kashmir were men, and 28% women. 70% of men who died were above 60 years and the average was 62 years. 86% of male deaths had preexisting conditions with high blood pressure in 18 (28.57%) followed by diabetes in 10 (15.87%), chronic lung disease in 8 (12.69%), cardiovascular lung disease in 6 (9.52%), cancer in 4 (6.34%) and chronic kidney disease in 4 (6.34%). 9 (14.28%) had no underlying health issues and they were healthy. Two had a brain hemorrhage, one had chronic liver disease and one had a hematological condition.
The COVID19 is affecting 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances. This virus was found in China in November 2019 and till today (30/June/2020) there are 83531 cases in which 78469 are recovered and 4634 deaths. All over the world there are 10,432,843 cases, 508,803 deaths and 5,691,950 recovered (from Nov 2019 to 30 June 2020). The death rate due to this virus is only 8% all over the world and 1% is critical.
It is shown in figure 1 that the number of total cases, active cases, recovery rate increases, and death rate decreased. It is quite a good statistic for china regarding COVID19. They fought with this virus nicely but still, there are around 428 active cases in which 98% are in mind condition and 2% are serious. As compared to other countries China’s total number of cases is fewer as shown in Table 1.

Key Terms in this Chapter
Paired t-Test: The paired t-test, sometimes called the dependent sample t-test, is a statistical procedure used to determine whether the mean difference between the two sets of observations zero.
Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test: It is a non-parametric statistical hypothesis test used to compare two related samples. Matched samples: or repeated measurements on a single sample to assess whether their population means ranks differ.
Isolation: Isolation separates sick people with a contagious disease from people who are not sick. Quarantine separates and restricts the movements of people who were exposed to a contagious disease to see if they become sick.
COVID-19: It is a disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus “CO” stands for corona, “VI” stands for the virus, and “D” stands for the disease. Formerly, this disease was referred to as the 2019 novel coronavirus or 2019-nCov. It is a new virus linked to the same family of the virus as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and some types of a common cold.
Shapiro-Wilk Test: The Shapiro-Wilk is a test of normality in frequentist statistics.
COVID-19 Spread: The virus is transmitted through direct contact with respiratory droplets of an infected person.
Normality Assumption: The core element of the assumption of normality asserts that the distribution of sample mean is normal.
Symptoms of COVID-19: Symptoms can include fever: cough, and shortness of breath. In more several cases, the infection can cause pneumonia or breathing difficulties.
Quarantine: It is a period or place of isolation in which people or animals that have arrived from elsewhere or been exposed to the infectious or contagious disease are placed.
Hypothesis: A hypothesis explanation for a phenomenon.
