Abstract
Sustainable initiatives involve efforts focusing on the conservation of resources, reduction in waste and pollution, along with ensuring that the ecological balance is maintained. Due to various reasons, startups may have been left out of the regulatory and social pressures. The time has come when ignoring the environmental impacts of startups is no longer viable. In the current scenario, the Country is springing up in the renewable energy sector focusing on green growth thereby promoting growth and development of the economy. The chapter aims to study the importance of the adoption of sustainable technologies by startups in India. The study also focuses on the initiatives taken by the government in supporting Startups. The study will go a long way in offering immense knowledge about Sustainable energy and its benefits of adaptation. To conclude the buzzing concept of green energy will contribute a great deal to maintaining ecological sensitivity thereby contributing to environmental protection.

Change in global climatic patterns and increase in pollution and various natural calamities due to various business activities emphasize the importance of green management and sustainability for enterprises operating in India. In an attempt to bring down the global warming and pollution there is immense need to ‘go green’ for the enterprises. The government of India has introduced various initiatives for boosting adaption of green management by various firms. In order to achieve this every industry should incorporate more use of renewable energy that are capable of reducing emissions and waste, by emphasizing on three activities like recycle, reduce and reuse or by saying no to plastics which will in turn help in reducing the emission in air. Thus, improving the air quality index and improving quality of life of people residing in India who are facing many issues due to lower air quality index. Startups refer to as small and medium size enterprises whose entrepreneur is engaged in production, manufacturing or services at micro level. Startups in India have played a vital part in economic growth and also assist in generation of employment, reducing regional imbalances and in boosting exports of India. Sustainable technologies have become a focal point for startups globally, as they aim to address environmental challenges while building innovative solutions. These technologies encompass a wide array of innovations that promote environmental conservation, resource efficiency, and social responsibility (Kumar et al., 2023).
