Abstract

This study explores the transformational role of data-driven Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly in the changing global biomedical landscape, which is challenged by increasing costs, aging demographics, and emerging diseases. The purpose of the chapter is to explore the application and impact of data-driven AI, from data analytics to the development of learning and insights, and its alignment with international data privacy and security regulations. Data security, regulatory compliance, and innovation are under intense scrutiny in the life sciences industry, and with the various challenges posed by the exponential growth of new technologies data-driven solutions are being called upon more than ever to help address pressing healthcare needs. Through community-engaged research and interpretive focus group descriptions, the primary goal was to provide a critical understanding of how data-driven AI plays a role in organizational innovation and how to leverage it effectively in the life sciences industry.
