Abstract
The tourism industry stands at a crossroads, facing the pressing need to reduce its carbon footprint while continuing to provide high-quality services. This paper proposes a holistic framework for decarbonization, integrating energy efficiency, waste management, sustainable transportation, supply chain sustainability, and water conservation. We investigate how these factors, influenced by regional specificities and policy environments, contribute to the overarching goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. By analyzing the interplay between these variables, the study offers actionable insights for stakeholders aiming to foster sustainable tourism practices.
