Abstract

This study develops a method to determine future needs and competencies required for the design of future professional careers, this aligned with the demands: country, institutional and business. The article is based on a study of primary and secondary sources: current state of supply, working companies, dynamics with parents, student surveys nationwide. Finally, findings are made regarding future demand careers: national needs, labor demand for skills, educational supply, educational needs. And it concludes with a study plan of future needs for adapt.

2. Background

Millennials in quantity, is much larger than Baby Boomers, and has it been estimated to grow 4% by 2030. The Millennial Generation are those young people between 15 and 34 years old, with characteristics similar to those of Generation X, they are no longer interested in money or material things like those previous generations. This group of people they enjoy the road much more than the final destination. For them, the recognition comes hand in hand with meaningful work and constant feedback is a reality (Cuesta, 2014).

However; the term Millennial, even though it encompasses all people born between these years, is very broad, since it not only involves a group monolithic that does not change age and different circumstances, but, within it, there are also differences in the way they see the world (Molinari, 2011).

Through that, this implies that various investigations are carried out in order to know in depth to this group and know how to reach them. Learn from them and understand their perspectives and modus operandi will allow us to identify the channels that we must take to to be able to communicate with them. In addition to this, it should be mentioned that the generation.

According to El Economista (Aguirre & Escalera, 2020), the professions of the future are focused on health, technology and the environment. Biotechnology stands out, for example, which involves technological applications in the use of biological systems and living organisms. Likewise, Agricultural Engineering to facilitate the production of quality food in a world in economic crisis. And Digital Marketing for the development of advisors that guide traditional businesses to the digital ecosystem. Therefore, the fundamental human and physiological needs are emphasized, but also those of connection to the digital world where administrative work, studies and commerce operate today.

Distance education, using digital tools, has been the temporary solution to the problems because of the Pandemic. But there have also been problems derived from the intense stress involved in the methodology. For example, according to a study by CourseHero, more than half of teachers have shown signs of extreme stress level and 40% have considered leaving teaching: Teachers' daily work has been impacted, as well as their long-term professional outlook. term, career aspirations, and prospects for higher education. The intensive use of technology and tools has contradicted the paradigms under which teachers have been educated, in contrast to the offer of “free” virtual education existing in the market, away from academic rigor and associated with empiricism.
