The International Journal of Cloud Applications and Computing (IJCAC) focuses on practical applications and the theoretical foundations of Cloud Computing, through presentation of the most up-to-date advances and new directions of research in the field from various scholarly, professional, and practitioner perspectives. An interdisciplinary look at Cloud Computing, including engineering and business aspects, IJCAC covers and encourages high-quality research exposition on such topics as virtualization technology, utility computing, SaaS, and Grid Computing, as well as web services, SOA, Web 2.0, and Services Computing.

Mission

The main mission of the International Journal of Cloud Applications and Computing (IJCAC) is to be the premier and authoritative source for the most innovative scholarly and professional research and information pertaining to aspects of Cloud Applications and Computing. IJCAC presents advancements in the state-of-the-art, standards, and practices of Cloud Computing, in an effort to identify emerging trends that will ultimately define the future of “the Cloud.” Topics such as Cloud Infrastructure Services, Cloud Platform Services, Cloud Application Services (SaaS), Cloud Business Services, Cloud Human Services are discussed through original papers, review papers, technical reports, case studies, and conference reports for reference use by academics and practitioners alike.

Editor(s)-in-Chief Biography

Shadi Aljawarneh
Shadi Aljawarneh is a researcher and an assistant professor, Software Engineering, at Isra University. He holds a BSc degree in Computer Science from Jordan Yarmouk University, a MSc degree in Information Technology from Western Sydney University and a PhD in Software Engineering from Northumbria University-England. He is currently assistant professor in faculty of IT in Isra University, Jordan, where he has worked since 2008. His research is centered in web and network security, e-learning, bioinformatics, Cloud Computing and ICT fields. Aljawarneh has presented at and been on the organizing committees for a number of international conferences and is a board member of the International Community for ACM, Jordan ACM Chapter, ACS and others. A number of his papers have been selected as "Best Papers" in conferences and journals.

Hong Cai
Hong Cai has been a senior software engineer at IBM China Software Development Lab (IBM CDL) since 2008. He is the technical lead of Cloud/SaaS incubation projects in IBM CDL. His current research areas include Commerce as a Service, SaaS multi-tenancy, Cloud Platform as a Service. Before that, he worked at IBM China Research Lab from 1997-2008 as technical lead of various projects. He was IBM China’s technical lead of promoting Service Science, Management and Engineering from 2005-2007. Dr. Cai received his PhD degree from Tsinghua University in 1997. He is currently Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Services Computing and Editorial Review Board Member of the International Journal of Web Services Research.
