Academics celebrate the release of 3 IGI Global titles

University of Ottawa Scholars Organize Successful Book Launch

By IGI Global on Oct 21, 2014
At the beginning of the month, University of Ottawa scholars Mahmoud Eid, Rocci Luppicini, Isaac Nahon-Serfaty, and Rukhsana Ahmed teamed up to host a book launch for their IGI Global titles. Interdisciplinary in nature, the books cover different topics, discussing the work of scholars with different specializations, and providing several applications and case studies along with the latest research in their respective fields.

The launch, entitled “Cutting Edge Interdisciplinary Research”, was incredibly well-received, with students and faculty in attendance along with other academic researchers and specialists. The book contributors are all part of the Department of Communication of the University of Ottawa. The event was organized by the university's Diversity and Equity Research Group, which is co-directed by Dr. Rukhsana Ahmed, co-editor of New Media and Communication Across Religions and Cultures, as well as the University of Ottawa's Dr. Luisa Veronis.
