Amitava Pal
Amitava Pal
is an accomplished academician, mentor, and researcher specializing in Human Resource Management and Sports Management. He is currently pursuing a PhD from ICFAI University and holds a Post Graduate Program from XLRI, Jamshedpur, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science (First Class with Distinction). He heads the academics of International Institute of Sports & Management (IISM), Mumbai, where he oversees academic delivery, resource management, and innovation initiatives(IISM received the prestigious President’s Award from Ramnath Kovindji for contributing in the development of sports in India). He also chairs the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre at IISM. A recognized mentor and advisor, he worked with Niti Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission, Startup India Hub, University of Chicago’s IIC Fellows, and IIT Bombay’s Abyuday. Amitava has an extensive research portfolio, including co-authoring sports case studies, impact reports, and industry white papers. His contributions range from guiding SOPs for major Khelo India to National Games . His expertise spans sports analytics, youth engagement, fitness trends, and sports infrastructure.
