Biochemistry is a complicated subject that seeks to explain how inanimate chemicals like carbohydrates and proteins can give rise to living organisms (
NewScientist). The majority of the chemical elements form chemical compounds with molecules of higher dimensions. This fact is essential for analyzing molecular interactions, including nanomedicine, nanotoxicology, and quantum biology. The scholarly reference,
The Geometry of Higher-Dimensional Polytopes (ISBN: 9781522569688), published by IGI Global, explores the methods and applications of the structures of binary compounds. It gives us a hint to enter the vast universe of biochemistry. To help researchers better understand this mystery world,
Prof. Gennadiy Vladimirovich Zhizhin, with over 20 years of experience in chemistry, introduces his research series beginning from
The Geometry of Higher-Dimensional Polytopes.
Monograph of Zhizhin G.V.,
The Geometry of High-Dimensional Polytopes (ISBN: 9781522569688) published by IGI Global, marked the beginning of the creation of a new geometry of the world around us on planet Earth. Exploring the real geometric forms of chemical compounds and biological formations in the monograph it is proved that their elementary units have the highest dimension. Higher dimension is not a formal way of describing complex structures, but a fundamental property of natural compounds. Therefore, to understand the essence of the processes occurring in nature, it is necessary to have knowledge about the properties of higher-dimensional polytopes, not limited to mentioning the hypercube and cross-polytope.

The initial course of this knowledge is presented in this monograph. This knowledge has already been used in the further development of individual chapters of the monograph in subsequent monographs. Almost at the same time, a little later, a book Zhizhin G.V.,
Attractors and Higher Dimensions in Population and Molecular Biology (ISBN: 9781522596516) came out of print, in which the geometry of DNA, RNA and protein molecules is considered in detail, as objects of the highest dimension.
The last monograph of this series Zhizhin G.V.,
Non-Euclidean Geometry in Materials of Living and Non-Living Matter in the Space of the Highest Dimension is especially important. It proves that the geometry of higher-dimensional polytopes is a non-Euclidean geometry. The non-Euclidean nature of this geometry is not related to the curvature of space, as is the case in the geometries of Lobachevsky and Riemann. It is a consequence of the properties of higher-dimensional polytopes. Thus, our entire earthly world is non - Euclidean and its components have a higher dimension. This requires a significant change in our ideas about the world around us. The monograph
The Geometry of Higher-Dimensional Polytopes (ISBN: 9781522569688) can be considered as the initial step on this path of education.
