IGI Global Attends ACRL in Portland

IGI Global had the opportunity to attend ACRL Annual again this year, from March 25th– 28th in Portland, Oregon, USA. The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), a division of the American Library Association, is a professional association of academic librarians. Dedicated to enhancing the ability of academic library and information professionals to serve the information needs of the higher education community and to improve learning, teaching, and research, ACRL's annual conference features more than 300 carefully curated programs to help librarian professionals stay at the forefront of the profession.

IGI Global Editor Travels To MyanmarIGI Global author Emy Nelson Decker with the Encyclopedia of Information Science and Technology, Third Edition, a volume to which she contributed The IGI Global booth hosted a series of presentations and product demonstrations, attendees who visited could participate in several giveaways including a $100 VISA gift card. With over 5,072 total attendees, ACRL offered a wonderful opportunity for librarians, publishers, academics, and teachers to connect and collaborate on happenings in the industry. Focusing on "Creating Sustainable Community", ACRL 2015 featured exhibits from over 200 companies providing goods and services to assist the academic library community.
