Governments are duty-bound to carry out public policy reforms in a bid to address specific public concerns, needs, and social interests, and stir their economies on sustainable development trajectories. This is done following their constitutional mandates. Zimbabwe has implemented several policy reforms in education, health, housing, finance, agriculture, mining, energy, policing, correctional services, and transport, among others, with varied degrees of success and challenges. These reforms required varied formulation and implementation approaches depending on the objectives and prevailing circumstances. This study gives a scholarly perspective of the public policy reform, ‘Education 5.0', on primary and secondary education in Zimbabwe, given concerns about the policy from stakeholders. An interview was conducted with a convenient sample of stakeholders. An assortment of documentary evidence was also used to gather secondary data. The study concluded that most of the respondents were satisfied with the policy Education 5.0 in principle.

Due to the swift advancement of artificial intelligence, the emergence of ChatGPT has garnered considerable attention within the educational sphere. The aim of the study is to conduct a systematic literature review concerning the potential factors of ChatGPT-assisted education, specifically focusing on learners' acceptance, the accessibility of communication, digital literacy, and motivation. Therefore, pertinent peer-reviewed articles (n=41) were identified using the preferred reporting items for systematic review and meta-analysis protocol (PRISMA-P) for subsequent exploration. The findings indicated that the potential influencing factors in four dimensions have positive contribution to the educational achievements facilitated by ChatGPT. The four primary influencing factors further include 14 sub-influencing factors. Future research may delve into the mode of feedback and the mode of interaction within the context of ChatGPT-facilitated learning and teaching.

This qualitative case study investigated the experiences of 15 purposely selected mathematics teachers' technology integration in Namibia's selected rural primary schools. The study used the TPACK framework while data were collected through semi-structured interviews and lesson observation. The study results indicate that mathematics teachers use various ICT available in primary schools in Namibia. While some ICTs are widely used, others are only utilized occasionally. ICT was deemed beneficial, albeit impeded by several challenges in its incorporation into the mathematics classroom. These challenges pertained to a lack of technology training, a lack of technology integration guidelines, and a change of teacher role in teaching. The study underscores the significance of subject-specific technology training to enable mathematics teachers to adopt transformative uses of technology more frequently. The study recommends further research to examine how rural mathematics teachers effectively use technology to engage and actively meet students' learning needs.

ChatGPT is shaking up the higher education world by generating informative content that mimics human writing. However, its integration into university settings raises concerns about academic integrity and potential information security risks. The aim of this study is to systematically review the impact of using ChatGPT in university settings and its implications for higher education. This study employed a systematic review method to assess the evidence in the literature. Thirty-nine articles were analyzed according to PRISMA principles. The findings suggest that ChatGPT has the potential to personalize learning and improve writing performance. However, there are still potential issues, such as undermining academic integrity and breaching personal information. Therefore, urgent action is needed to address these issues and optimize the use of ChatGPT in higher education. Future research could further discuss how to fully utilize ChatGPT in academia while carefully considering ethical issues.
