Antonio Martinez

Antonio Martínez graduated college with a degree in English Studies and a degree in Translation and Interpreting. He holds an MA in Secondary Education Teacher Training from the Universitat de València and a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Spain (Cum Laude distinction and doctoral thesis award for his dissertation). He was holder of a four-year research grant awarded under a competitive process by the Valencian Regional Government, which enabled him to work as a member of the CAMILLE Research Group at the Department of Applied Linguistics (UPV) and as a visiting researcher at Dublin City University, Ireland. He has participated in national and international research projects and conferences. His main research interests and publications concern Computer-Assisted Language Learning/Assessment and English for Specific Purposes. He is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Linguistics at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain.
